I’M DROPPING AN NFT FOR MY BIRTHDAY ON MAKERSPLACE

For my 22nd birthday, I’m dropping a new piece of digital art on MarkersPlace and I will donate 40% of the final sale to a non-profit that protects the environment in my home state.

On Thursday, May 20th, 2021 I will be dropping my next NFT on MarkersPlace. My next piece of digital art that will be available for auction on the blockchain is titled ‘The Runaway’ and I’m partnering with ‘Bosque a Salvo I.A.P.’, a non-profit organization from my home state, Sinaloa, Mexico that is dedicated to protecting the environment. I will be donating 40% of ‘The Runaway’ final sale price to them, to support their conservation efforts.

I’ve been learning a lot about the NFT space because I think it is an incredible way to empower digital artists who are often overlooked. One of the things I’ve discovered is that minting and selling NFTs have a negative impact on the environment and that’s why I decided to donate a percentage of the profits to support a local organization.
For those of you who don’t know them, Bosque a Salvo is a non-profit organization from my home state, Sinaloa, Mexico that manages different programs that help maintain healthy ecosystems in the region that range from eco-tourism development to bird watching and species monitoring.
Hope is one of the values that inspired me to create ‘The Runaway.’ This self portrait represents the melancholy of waiting patiently and starting to lose faith. A feeling that I’m sure many of you will relate to from what we experienced during the pandemic.
NFTs are already changing the way the creative economy works and they’re helping get the voices of artists like me heard. I’m very excited to be able to make this piece of digital art available on MakersPlace to celebrate my birthday and help support our lovely Earth at the same time. I can’t wait to continue to create more art for all of you and I am excited to partner with such incredible organizations and causes like ‘Bosque a Salvo.’
